The Union Grove Christian Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Salisbury Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union Grove Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Union Grove Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Salem Baptist Christian 17-1 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.

Morgan Donovant and Hannah Tapler were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Donovant pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Tapler tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Donovant has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Donovant got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, while Tapler scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Tapler a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Lott, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Reiner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Union Grove Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .900. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Salisbury was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 22-1 to West Davidson. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Salisbury saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Peeler, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Salisbury's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Union Grove Christian, their record is now 5-2.
