While Grace Christian put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Burlington Christian Academy. The Grace Christian Crusaders put the hurt on the Burlington Christian Academy Royals with a sharp 13-0 win. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Caleb Ellis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Grace Christian let Jimmy Alfonsin and Riley Cuddy run wild. Alfonsin went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs, while Cuddy went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Pena Jimenez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Grace Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burlington Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .067.

The victory made it two in a row for Grace Christian and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Burlington Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 8-1 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will host C.B. Aycock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Burlington Christian Academy, they will welcome North Raleigh Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burlington Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so North Raleigh Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
