East Wilkes dropped their record down to 25-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's 22-game streak of wins. They fell just short of Union Academy by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, East Wilkes hasn't been shut out since back in March.

As for Union Academy, their victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games.

For Union Academy's part, the result came thanks to Avery Wilson's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks. Wilson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Union Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keira Farmer, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither East Wilkes nor Union Academy have any future games scheduled.
