Recap: Sterling Classical Soldiers vs. Memorial Christian Academy Warriors
Even though the Sterling Classical Soldiers have not done well against the Memorial Christian Academy Warriors recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went Sterling Classical's way against Memorial Christian Academy as Sterling Classical made off with a 52-28 victory. That looming 52-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Sterling Classical yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sterling Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sunny Croston, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Croston has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ely McClung, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Sterling Classical has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Memorial Christian Academy, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sterling Classical has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome St. Mary's on January 12th. Memorial Christian Academy will take on Waco Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
