Basketball Recap: Cabrillo Comes Up Short

Cabrillo lost against Santa Ynez back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cabrillo Conquistadores fell just short of the Santa Ynez Pirates by a score of 56-54.

Santa Ynez was led to victory by Lucas Ollenburger and Jude Pritchard. Ollenburger went 7 of 9 to rack up 17 points and five boards, while Pritchard went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points. Ollenburger is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Ikenna Ofiaeli was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds.

Cabrillo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Santa Ynez, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

As of now, neither Cabrillo nor Santa Ynez have any future games scheduled.
