Grove City had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Central Crossing on Monday. The Greyhounds blew past the Comets 11-1. Considering the Greyhounds have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Grove City is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Central Crossing, they dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
