Canyon is a perfect 4-0 against Johnson since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Canyon Cougars challenge Johnson Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Canyon will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Alamo Heights on Saturday. Canyon walked away with an 11-8 victory over Alamo Heights. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cougars' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Johnson came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Warriors.

Canyon now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Johnson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Canyon skirted past Johnson 2-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Will Canyon repeat their success, or does Johnson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
