It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Verrado can now relate to. They came up short against the Canyon View Jaguars on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vipers have suffered since September 25th.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 25-14.

Alyssa Ortiz paced Verrado's offense, picking up seven kills. Ortiz got some help from Baylee Wakeham and her 20 assists. Aniah Brown controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Canyon View got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Hedrick out in front who had 11 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Hedrick has posted since back in October. Another player making a difference was Tatum Kinard, who had 17 assists and three digs.

Verrado's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 21-16. As for Canyon View, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-10-3 record this season.

Verrado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon View, they will take on Sunrise Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
