Volleyball Recap: Aurora Takes a Loss

Aurora was the 3-1 winner over East Newton when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Houn Dawgs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots on Tuesday. The Houn Dawgs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 15-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for East Newton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Aurora wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Girard on the 27th. As for East Newton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against McDonald County on the 25th.
