Jada Shoup leads a balanced attack to beat Northview

Recap: Whitmer Panthers vs. Northview Wildcats

After losing to the Northview Wildcats the last time they met, the Whitmer Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Whitmer strolled past Northview with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 52-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Whitmer.

Whitmer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jada Shoup, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Shoup is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Mackenzie Royal-davis was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Whitmer now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Northview, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitmer will take on Bowsher at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Whitmer has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northview, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Genoa Area at 7:15 p.m. Genoa Area will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Northview surely won't give up without a fight.
