Basketball Recap: Arabia Mountain Takes a Loss

Arabia Mountain lost against Tri-Cities back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The matchup between the Arabia Mountain Rams and the Tri-Cities Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Arabia Mountain Rams falling 79-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Loss or not, Arabia Mountain got some senior leadership from Joseph Smith and Julian Shanks. Smith went 8 for 19 on his way to 19 points, while Shanks posted 13 points and five rebounds. Shanks continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ibrahima Ly, who earned six points and eight boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Arabia Mountain and nudges their season record down to 5-11. As for Tri-Cities, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Arabia Mountain has already played their next contest (against Shiloh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tri-Cities didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 95-89 victory against Decatur on the 17th.
