Football Game Preview: Crescenta Valley Falcons vs. Pasadena Bulldogs

Two dominant signal callers in Xavier Thompson and Dutch Burbidge are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Crescenta Valley Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Pasadena Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crescenta Valley has given up an average of 32.9 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crescenta Valley will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points last Friday, then bounced right back against Glendale on Friday. The Falcons came out on top against the Nitros by a score of 42-34. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Nitros recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Pasadena came up short against Burbank, falling 35-14. Pasadena was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Although Pasadena took the loss, they still got scores from Xavion Flournoy and Synncere Pitts.

With the defeat, Pasadena broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3. As for Crescenta Valley, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Crescenta Valley took their victory against Pasadena in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 28-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
