Haywood entered their tilt with Fayette Ware on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Tomcats have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lillian Scott made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Haywood got a massive performance out of Karly Young, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double was Young's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Averie Parnell, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Haywood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayette Ware only posted a batting average of .000.

Haywood pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fayette Ware, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Haywood beat the Wildcats by a score of 15-0 later that day.
