Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans vs. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels

The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans will take on the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Saturday, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton took a blow against Vermillion, falling 72-39. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 51-47 to Chamberlain. The loss was the Rebels' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket fell to 2-1. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton skirted past Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 46-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Mt. Vernon/Plankinton repeat their success, or does Sanborn Central/Woonsocket have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
