Sandy Valley has gone a perfect 6-0 against Claymont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cardinals will host the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Sandy Valley is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Sandy Valley blew Buckeye Trail out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Buckeye Trail got their revenge. The Cardinals fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Claymont ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over Fairless. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Fair, who earned two runs and two stolen bases. He is becoming a predictor of Claymont's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-7 when he doesn't). Nolan McMorrow was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Claymont's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Sandy Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Sandy Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Claymont in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
