Ingleside is 1-9 against Rockport-Fulton since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Ingleside has given up an average of 36.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ingleside's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Techur, who picked up 146 receiving yards and one TD, and Landon Younk, who threw for 226 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.4% of his passes. Techur was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rockport-Fulton). In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 57-56 victory over Cuero. The win was all the more spectacular given the Pirates' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Gobblers are ranked 123rd).
Rockport-Fulton's win came from a few key players Ingleside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Traey Alvarado, who rushed for 206 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 111.9 rushing yards per game. Jaxon Keown was another key player, rushing for 138 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Rockport-Fulton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 454 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
One reason for the win was Rockport-Fulton's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Brady Cunningham, Kam Alston, and Aiden Williams, who each picked up one sack apiece. Cunningham was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 11 total tackles.
Rockport-Fulton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ingleside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Ingleside was dealt a bruising 49-14 loss at the hands of Rockport-Fulton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Alvarado, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only six carries.
