Recap: Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons vs. Union Knights/Damsels

The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons lost against the Union Knights/Damsels on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Allegheny-Clarion Valley took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union. Allegheny-Clarion Valley has not had much luck with Union recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Union's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Fleming, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Fleming has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Trent Fleming was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley on the road again on Friday and play against Karns City at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Karns City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Allegheny-Clarion Valley in Pennsylvania (Karns City is ranked 190th, while Allegheny-Clarion Valley is ranked 423rd). Union won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Laurel on January 23rd. Laurel is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
