The Gilmour Academy Lancers will take on the Brush Arcs in a tournament on Thursday. Gilmour Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Brush better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Gilmour Academy's game on Saturday is any indication, that's when Gilmour Academy really gets things going. The Lancers' defense stepped up to hand Shaker Heights a 3-0 shutout. Given Gilmour Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Shaker Heights are ranked 336th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gilmour Academy hit Shaker Heights with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kelsey Pattison, Kynzie Campbell, and Annie Franks.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Brush was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cardinal.

Gilmour Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-5-2. As for Brush, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1.

Everything went Gilmour Academy's way against Brush when the teams last played back in October of 2017, as Gilmour Academy made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Arcs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
