Soccer Recap: Kirkwood Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Kirkwood after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portland Panthers.

Kirkwood was without their leading scorer, Grayson Sims, in Tuesday's matchup. With Sims sitting this one out, Jackson Rivas got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 32.3).

Kirkwood now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Portland, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-3.

Coming up, Kirkwood will square off against Dickson County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Portland, they will face off against Macon County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
