Thoreau came out on top against Wingate on Tuesday thanks in part to Marcus Shelly's efforts. Shelly wasn't messing around, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases. The match was his third straight with at least one stolen base.

Shelly's strong effort led Thoreau over Wingate and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
