Basketball Recap: Collinsville Falls Despite Big Games from Ella Armstrong and Kate Reid

On Thursday, the Collinsville Cardinals came up short against the Carl Albert Titans and fell 41-29. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Titans are ranked 50th).

Despite the defeat, Collinsville had strong showings from Kate Reid, who posted six points, and Ella Armstrong, who scored five points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Armstrong a new career-high in rebounds.

Collinsville now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Carl Albert, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Collinsville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-30 loss against Edmond Memorial on the 24th. As for Carl Albert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-43 win against Charles Page on the 24th.
