Soccer Game Preview: Lake Havasu vs. Kellis

The Lake Havasu Knights will head out to face off against the Kellis Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Havasu's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lake Havasu fell victim to Arizona College Prep and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Lake Havasu can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Arizona College Prep is ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Kellis made sure to put some goals up on the board against La Joya Community on Monday. They blew past the Fighting Lobos 9-1. Considering the Cougars' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Lake Havasu's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Kellis, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-2.
