Softball Recap: Bagdad Sultans vs. Salome Frogs

Bagdad put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past the Salome Frogs 22-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bagdad.

Kiah Morris was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Morris was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Nuvia Jauregui was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tatum Jeans, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.

Bagdad's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3-1. As for Salome, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Bagdad will square off against Antelope at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Antelope is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 15.1 runs per game this season. Salome does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
