Recap: Ridgemont Golden Gophers vs. Kenton Wildcats
The Ridgemont Golden Gophers lost against the Kenton Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Ridgemont was outmatched by Kenton at home and fell 81-34. Ridgemont has not had much luck with Kenton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Ridgemont saw an underclassman step up: Anna Ramsey scored 17 points along with two blocks. That was a full 50% of Ridgemont's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruth Eckstein, who scored four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Ridgemont's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Kenton, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11.
Ridgemont will square off against Riverdale at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kenton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
