Soccer Game Preview: Dixie County vs. Newberry

Dixie County hasn't had much luck against Newberry recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m.

Dixie County is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to Bell.

Newberry, on the other hand, haven't lost since November 18th and they too continued that trend. They never let Bell onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Bell with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ollivander Hunter, Dylan Mobbs, Maximus Dietz, and Eli Hunter.

Newberry has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 59 goals over those nine games. As for Dixie County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
