Basketball Recap: Jupiter Christian's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Jupiter Christian suffered their biggest loss since February 8, 2024 on Friday. They lost 70-50 to the Benjamin Buccaneers. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Jupiter Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Rivera, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds, and Chase Reinstein, who went 5 for 10 en route to 19 points. Rivera's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Benjamin found their leader in sophomore Logan Buchanan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Buchanan has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Buchanan, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Jupiter Christian's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Benjamin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12.

Jupiter Christian has already played their next match, a 77-36 loss against St. John Paul II Academy on the 5th. As for Benjamin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-50 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 5th.
