Softball Recap: Pine Forest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chickasaw on Monday, Pine Forest came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Milton Panthers on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Pine Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Milton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Forest will welcome Booker T. Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Milton, they will be playing at home against T.R. Miller at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
