Baseball Game Preview: Lenox Tigers vs. Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils

Lenox is 1-8 against Martensdale-St. Mary since June of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tigers will host the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Lenox got the win against Wayne by a conclusive 16-1. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Martensdale-St. Mary's entered their tilt with Earlham on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Cardinals 8-1.

Martensdale-St. Mary's pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Lenox, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
