Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ward Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop Ward can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Jefferson West Tigers on Monday. The Cyclones' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-2.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Harriet Dean, who had 17 assists and four digs. Dean is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Macy Malone was another key player, getting 11 digs and one assist.

Bishop Ward's defeat dropped their record down to 7-26-4. As for Jefferson West, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-12.

Bishop Ward didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Marysville on the 20th. As for Jefferson West, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Riley County on the 20th.
