After a string of four wins, Heritage's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Francis Knights by a score of 57-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hawks have suffered since February 8th.

Despite the loss, Heritage saw an underclassman step up: freshman MaKari Townsend posted 11 points and eight boards. Townsend is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Alex Mufu Jr. was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for St. Francis, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Heritage will be playing at home against Holy Spirit Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Francis, they will square off against Galloway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will be up against the Scots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 69.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
