Basketball Recap: Jay County Extends Winning Streak to Two

Jay County won the last time they faced Heritage, and Hallie Schwieterman did her part to make sure it happened again. The Jay County Patriots blew past the Heritage Patriots, posting a 57-29 win thanks in part to Schwieterman, who posted 17 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Amelia Heath, who had 11 points and eight boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (two).

Despite the defeat, Heritage had strong showings from Danica Fuller, who put up ten points and five rebounds, and Riley Roy, who earned six points and six boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Jay County and bumps their season record up to 10-11. As for Heritage, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Jay County has already played their next game (against Richmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Heritage has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against New Haven.
