            Volleyball Recap: Palmer Ridge Bears vs. Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Discovery Canyon  last Thursday, Palmer Ridge came back down to earth. The Bears lost  3-0 to the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red-Tailed Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  on October 2nd.
 Palmer Ridge was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cheyenne Mountain work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-16,  25-20.
 Makenzie Pears paced Palmer Ridge's offense, picking up ten kills. Pears got some help from  Melanie Pierce and her 22 assists.
 Cheyenne Mountain can attribute much of their success to  Jera Rodriguez, who  had three  digs and two  aces. What's more,  Rodriguez racked up 18  assists, the most she's  had  over her last eight  matchups.
Palmer Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record  this season.
 Palmer Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  3-1  loss against Lutheran on the 23rd. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-1  defeat against Lewis-Palmer on the 23rd.
