Landmark Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the King's Ridge Christian Tigers. One positive for the War Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Landmark Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amara Knowles went 6 for 13 on her way to 18 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knowles has scored all season. Cahrden Brown also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

Landmark Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for King's Ridge Christian, they moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Whitefield Academy the next time they take the court. Landmark Christian will host Whitefield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while King's Ridge Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
