Basketball Recap: Summit Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Summit Charter Academy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 55-24 loss at the hands of the Hayesville Yellowjackets. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Summit Charter Academy lost, don't look at Chance Wilson. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Summit Charter Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Hayesville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Summit Charter Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 81-20 defeat against Cherokee on the 12th. Hayesville has also already played their next contest (against Nantahala), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
