Baseball Recap: East Duplin Comes Up Short

East Duplin lost against East Bladen back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 9-8.

Gavin Holmes and Calvin Harper did some serious damage despite the final result: Holmes went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Harper got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Garrett Sholar also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

East Duplin's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for East Bladen, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10.

As of now, neither East Duplin nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
