Football Game Preview: West Tallahatchie Choctaws vs. North Panola Cougars + How To Watch

The West Tallahatchie Choctaws will head out on the road to take on the North Panola Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, West Tallahatchie put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Ashland 54-14. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Choctaws with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, North Panola had just enough and edged out Palmer 37-34 on Saturday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

North Panola found their leader in freshman Stetson Rayford, who rushed for 71 yards and one score, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and one TD. D.J. Presley was in the mix too, providing the Cougars with one touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Panola's defensive line and their 4.5 sacks. Kayden Chapman refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. North Panola received some extra help from Presley, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

North Panola's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for West Tallahatchie, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
