Basketball Game Preview: Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs vs. Northeast Hurricanes

The Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs will take on the Northeast Hurricanes on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dr. Joaquin Garcia comes in on three and Northeast on seven.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 58-57 victory over Atlantic. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Abby Quinn continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 26 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Dr. Joaquin Garcia's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Vance, who went 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Northeast sidestepped St. Thomas Aquinas for a 42-39 win.

Northeast has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
