Basketball Recap: Hersey Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hersey can now relate to. They lost 59-33 to the Prospect Knights on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prospect to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allison Linke, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Linke is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoe Black, who to rack up 19 points and eight boards.

Hersey's defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Prospect, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

Hersey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prospect, they will take on Fremd at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Fremd comes in on ten and Prospect on three.
