Volleyball Recap: Brown Deer Takes a Loss

Brown Deer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Hustlin' Hawks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Taylor Reed paced Brown Deer's offense, picking up four kills. Reed got some help from Jalisa Washington and her 11 assists. Alayna Young controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Brown Deer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Brown Deer and Greenfield will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time Brown Deer sees the court they'll take on Whitnall at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Greenfield, their break will end when they face Greendale at 6:30 p.m. on the 18th.
