Volleyball Recap: Seguin Comes Up Short

Seguin entered their game against Industrial on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Matadors fell just short of the Cobras by a score of 2-1. While the Matadors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cobras 25-18 in the first set.

Seguin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Kassidy Dailey and Elli Anderson, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Gisele Morales and her 21 assists. Rebeka Wilke controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Seguin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Industrial, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Seguin will host Fox Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Industrial, they will square off against Chaparral at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
