League recap: Stone Mountain stuns Redan in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Stone Mountain, who took down 258th ranked Redan, 49-15.

Lithonia moved up to 269 from 314 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAA Region 6A. The Bulldogs were able to make the jump by losing to Marist 40-14.

Chamblee's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Branch has thrown for 671 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Desmond Noird has 15 catches for 280 yards. Dezmin Reed leads the league in rushing with 294 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Pirates take on Chamblee. Stone Mountain is in third place, while the Bulldogs are in first place.

The War Eagles extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 6A this week by beating Lithonia, 40-14. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
