While Civic Memorial's win against Marquette Catholic wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Explorers 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Explorers: they've now won five in a row.

Civic Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Wright, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Wright has posted since back in March. Grace Burton was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Civic Memorial's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Marquette Catholic, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-15.

Looking ahead, Civic Memorial will welcome Jersey at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Marquette Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
