Volleyball Recap: Barstow Takes a Loss

Barstow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burroughs Burros. If the Aztecs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Burros when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Barstow started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-15, 25-19, 25-7.

Lillah O'Grady was a one-woman wrecking crew For Burroughs. as she had 18 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave O'Grady a new career-high.

Barstow's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Burroughs, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barstow will venture away from home to face off against Academy for Academic Excellence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Burroughs, they will face off against Temecula Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
