Baseball Recap: Bayonne's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Weehawken on Saturday, Bayonne came back down to earth. The Bees lost 8-2 to the Manalapan Braves on Saturday. If the Bees were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Braves when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bayonne's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Manalapan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayonne will venture away from home to challenge Hunterdon Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bees' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Manalapan, they will face off against Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
