Softball Recap: South Dade Takes a Loss

South Dade lost against Palmetto last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Buccaneers came up short against the Panthers, falling 25-8. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

A. Tomas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was K. Pena, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

South Dade's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Palmetto, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Dade is set to challenge their familiar foe Coral Gables at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Palmetto will take on rival Coral Reef at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
