Football Recap: Breese Central's Run of Nine Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Breese Central can now relate to. They and the Rochester Rockets were almost perfectly matched up on Saturday, but they suffered a 43-42 loss. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (36), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Breese Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Kehrer, who threw for 280 yards and five TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown. The Cougars' leading receiver Conlan Harr was Kehrer's top target yet again, picking up 167 receiving yards and three scores.

Rochester's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evrim Tabag, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 94 rushing yards gave Tabag a new career-high. Tanner Beal was another key player, rushing for 30 yards and one TD.
