Basketball Recap: Rockwood Summit Starts Season with Victory at Home

Rockwood Summit took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 60-34 margin over the Northwest Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Falcons have posted since December 28, 2023.

Rockwood Summit was led to victory by Oliver Puljic and Max Roth. Puljic dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards, while Roth went 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Jelks, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockwood Summit will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fox at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th. Northwest also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Hazelwood West at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th.
