Baseball Recap: Beaver Dam Takes a Loss

Beaver Dam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-8 to the Beatty Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 on Friday.

Miguel Jauregui was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Ruger Holcomb was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

Beaver Dam's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Beatty, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beaver Dam will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Laughlin at 1:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Beatty, they will head out to square off against GV Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Beatty is facing GV Christian at the right time seeing as GV Christian is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
