Basketball Recap: Attica Blue Devils vs. Newfane Panthers

On Saturday, Attica came up short against the Panthers and fell 54-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Attica has scored all season.

Newfane's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Braman led the charge by scoring 20 points along with two steals. Braman has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Ben Dickinson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.

Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Newfane, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Attica will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. As for Newfane, they will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Medina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Panthers are ranked 183rd).
