Basketball Recap: Ransom Sowell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Broaddus over Kennard

Broaddus was the 69-66 winner over Kennard when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Broaddus Bulldogs fell 49-42 to the Kennard Tigers on Tuesday.

Broaddus lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ransom Sowell, who to rack up 17 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Kingston Sanders was another key player, en route to 11 points and five rebounds.

Broaddus' defeat dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Kennard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Broaddus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-36 loss against Brookeland on the 17th. As for Kennard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 101-37 victory against Chester on the 17th.
